Well its finally done! thanks to everyone who lent a hand or a suggestion. While cleaning up the garage after the project, Lula helped me track down the mouse/rat above. He was about the size of a softball. Wounder what he's been eating, I set out traps just in case there are others around. Sorry PETA.

How many chickens will your coop hold? Is the bottom of your pen open or will there be wire over it? Do you have wheels to move it with or is it stationary?

I need to upload additional photos. as this is almost a year old now... to answer your questions... i keep 7 silkies in it but have had up to 12. so it really depends on the size or your birds. the bottom is open. my birds go up in the coop at night and the ladder closes shut. something could potentially dig under it during the day but unlikely.yes I have 2 wheels on the back now. i just lift the lighter side and push or pull it. I move it once a day so i have no cleanup and it keeps my grass looking great! let me know if you have any other questions. glad to help!
